George
Jackson, Ph.D. joined the Office of the State Medical
Examiner as Laboratory Director of the New Jersey
State Toxicology Laboratory in 2003. Dr. Jackson
directs all aspects of the NJ State Toxicology Laboratory
including Forensic Pathology Testing and Law Enforcement
Drug Testing. To

| As
a component of our ongoing quality assurance program,
the State Toxicology Laboratory received accreditation
in Forensic Urine Drug Testing by the College of
American Pathologists in 2005. To ensure quality
of service, Dr. Jackson has also developed additional
proficiency programs to monitor all aspects of the
laboratory service. The laboratory maintains active
continuing education, research and development programs.
Future projects include a new laboratory information
system and improvements to the current test menu. |

| The Architect c8000
is the newest addition to the State Toxicology Laboratory.

| The
common carrier processes multiple sample types, calibration
and quality control material to reduce sample sorting.
It delivers 1200 tests per hour (up to 800 photometric
and 600 ISE) with the state-of the-art immunochemistry
platform which allows for greater productivity and faster
response time. |
